This month has been a little overwhelming with taking kids to the doctor once and every other week, twice!
Hunter
(last week)Monday: I took him to the doc. and they gave him a steriod. By Wednesday, he was coughing with a runny nose, & the croupe cough was clear.
the following sunday: Jacob had a double ear infection with the right ear being worse. He was on ogmenten for 10 days, and he was getting better so we went back in after the 10th day, and he had another double ear infection! This time, it was the left ear was worse.
After going back and forth to Pleasant Grove with in 2 1/2 weeks, I was tired of doc's~!!
Now, Jacob has had a cough and runny nose since Friday!

On top of that, I decided that Jacob was pretty close to being potty trained, and I was so anxious to put him in underwear and eventionally not worry about buying diapers anymore. I knew that it wouldn't be a full success over night. So, I started around 9:30 Sunday morning. He was having accident after accident every hour and even earlier. I was getting really discouraged and frustrated with cleaning up pee. But, the good thing was that Jacob would come up to me after having the accident and tell me where he peed.
Today is Monday, and he is doing really well with going to the potty. I changed 4-5 pairs of underwear the whole day. I will keep going for the rest of the week. Hopefully, he will be fully potty trained by the first of March!!

Oh! One last thing that happened this month. Hunter lost his two bottom teeth!! I can't believe that he is growing up so fast and maturing. I wouldn't know what to do without him in our live!

WAY TOO LONG!

okay... it's been way too long since I updated this blog! Honestly, i'm not very creative and i'm sooo behind that as of right now, i don't think that I can remember everything... so i will do my best as just start out as of 2 weeks ago...
Friday, 22nd of October, Hunter has his ear tubes removed. We had to be at the Surgical Clinic at 6:45 that morning. Ryan's mom took care of Jacob for us while we were there with Hunter.
We had to change hunter's clothes into a gown and slippers. he was so cute but didn't know what to think about the slippers. :)
About 20 minutes later, the doctor came and talked to us, and said that it would be a quick surgery. Because the eartubes didn't fall out on their own, they had to go in and put a patch over the hole. Hunter was sitting on my lap, and then the nurse said" okay, let's go hunter", and he wouldn't let go of me and started to have heavy melt down! Finally, the nurse took him away and he was reaching out to me crying and saying "mommy, mommy"! It broke my heart that he had to go through surgery again, but I knew that it would be better in the long run..
Ryan and I waited about 20 minutes and the nurse called us in to the recovery room, and he was sound asleep. The nurse keeped saying that he would wake up being really wrestless and be really mad, but when he woke up, he proved us all wrong. He woke up slowly, and I took him and cuddled with him, and it took him 10 minutes to come out of it. I was so proud of him. Now, he is doing really well. He hears even better than he did when he had his tubes in.

Tuesday: We took him to check his hearing again cause he failed it the first time, but he pasted his hearing test at the school lab that day.

Wednesday: he had his follow up with the ENT doctor, and the patches looked good! They are going to test his hearing and look at his ears again in February. The doctor told us that Hunter had lost 20% of his hearing, and him being behind on his speech was the main reason why he was not talking much. he also said within 6 months, he should be caught up! I am just hoping that he doesn't get any more ear infections!

Thursday: not much happened.

Friday: same.

Saturday: Halloween- My mother in laws' ward had their Trunk or Treat at 4 p.m. and was raining and then 20 minutes later the rain stopped and the sun came out. I took jacob around alone cause Hunter was really overwhelmed with so many people that he just sat in the car with his grandma. After 30 minutes of walking around and getting candy, we decided to go to my brother in laws house and go trick or treat around their neighborhood. Well, when we got there and settled, it poured and hailed!!! It was crazy~

So then we just went to ryan's grandmas' house and she gave the kids treats and then we went home and put the kids to bed.

Just 2 days ago: (tuesday) I had the oppurtunity to meet with Hunter's teacher, physical and occuapational theropists and speech theropist and they all report that Hunter is doing really well and that he has improved a TON!!!

that's it for now. I wish that I could take naps, but Jacob fights it most of the time and doesn't take naps, therefore, I can't take naps.

eating at the Park in American Fork!

having a bad day...

it's been too long... again since I update our blog. I wish that I was better at it, but i'm not. April is here and almost gone.. Not alot has happened this month.

The boys are growing up like weeds! Jacob is learning new things from Hunter everyday! It can be good and bad things...

Jake has been cutting and is getting his 2 year molars. There's been several, miserable nights that he just cries. I feel bad for him cause all I can give him is tylenol and rock him.

He gets into EVERYTHING! We call him our "monkey" cause he is climbing on tables, couches and anything that he can get his hands on! I love this kid! I'm so greatful that Heavenly Father sent him down to us! We are truly lucky and blessed that he is with us today! We had a scare when he was born, but he is healthy now!

Hunter is doing well in school! He's in the 2.7-3 year stage in his comprehension/speech.. I go to parent/teacher conferences every 6 weeks or so and his teacher says that he is doing well each time that i meet with her! He LOVES to ride the bus, and sometimes he doesn't want to get off when he comes home.

In a nut shell, i'm just greatful that I have "3" boys that are wonderful! Especially a husband that works so hard, generous, loves me no matter what mistakes I make and loves his children very much!

News for Ryan and I...... well... we are just anxiously waiting to see if he got a job at Omniture! We should know on Wednesday if he got it or not!

Me....... still working at the Provo Temple! I LOVE it! It gives me that oppurtunity to get away and be with adults and just being able think deep into thought and thank my Heavenly Father for giving me the wonderful experience to work there!

Can you beleive that this month is almost over with already! I've been the biggest slacker on updating this blog. This month, the boys and I have been passing around sicknesses.. Hunter is always the first one to get sick cause he brings home the germs from school! So we've been to doctors after doctors! Jake has had sinus infections along with diarreha and colds... one on top of the other! I think that I took him in to the doc at least 4 times within the last 3 weeks!

On the 14th, we went to mom's to celebrate my niece, Shaylee and my mom's birthday, and then Aunt Linda and Uncle Dennis had their farewell on Sunday... well.. that early morning, I was chilled, achey and my head was pounding really hard just as if someone had a hammer hitting me in the head! By 8:00 a.m. everyone was getting ready for church, and ryan, the boys and I packed up and went home. I didn't want to get anyone sick!
I was really sad that I didn't get to see everyone, but hopefully, there will be a next time soon!
ummm... what else has been going on?

Our 6th Anniversary is tomorrow (20th)!! I have the best husband! He is such a kind, funny, hard working, understanding man! He loves me no matter what I do wrong or right. I know that he loves his kids unconditionally! We're going to the outback for dinner and then a movie on saturday! I love you, Ryan!
He had an interview with Omniture on Wednesday with 5 different people! They took him on a tour of the building, just as if he was hired. He was in the interview for an hour and a half! I really hope that he gets this job! hopefully, they will be calling for a second interview on monday!
Well... other than the boys and I being sick, everything is good!
Jacob is so funny and cute! He loves to wrestle with daddy and Hunter. He does what ever his big brother does. he talks like crazy, too!
Hunter is doing ALOT better in his speech! They are both just growing up like weeds!!!

Since we don't have family pictures yet, i thought that we needed to take a couple.

18 months...

Since 18 months is a big deal, I thought that I would jot some things about Jacob:

weight: 21.15

*He is a very busy boy!

*He is so curious about everything!

*He loves to play with his brother, Hunter

*He says: dog, kitty, thank you, mamma, dadda, papa, cookie, cracker and more...

*and still working on talking

*He loves to be tickled and be the center of attention!

* He is a great sleeper! (now that we have both boys in the same room)

We are so greatful and lucky to have such a wonderful little boys!P.S. there is a picture of hunter above of how big he is getting!

January's news...

I would have to say that I am the WORSED at keeping this blog up-to-date! I can't beleive that January flew by so quickly! I have always thought that I was the worsed at keep this blog up dated....

January's news...
Ryan got demoted from his job. He was one of the team leads, and they asked him to step down, so he was on the phones for 2-3 weeks,and then the next week, they put him on probation for a month! On top of all of that, he took a 3 dollar an hour paycut. At the same time, we have been so blessed that he still has a job! I've been so humbled to know that the Lord has blessed us in so many way! Even though it's hard at times.
Just last week, he spoke with the Vise Pres. of the company and Ryan requested a workforce position that was coming available that he knew about cause the guy was leaving, so the vice pres. thought that it was a good idea for ryan to take the position, Ryan had to apply for it. It took about a week to find out if he got it. Yesterday, he was trained for the last couple of hours of his shift.

Today, February 4th, 2010, he started to train for the job. I am so proud of him! He is such a wonderful husband, friend, and father! I am so greatful that I have him as my husband! He is a dedicated and hard worker! I love you, Ryan!

okay... can I just tell you that it's been so crazy lately?? I haven't been able to sit down and update my blog.
Life is good... The boys are growing like weeds!! Hunter is 4, and is loving school! It seems that he's been sick alot this year. He has had several colds and now the croupe. We took him to the after hours clinic on sunday, cause his cough was so bad that he couldn't breath very well. Ryan had to go and buy a humidifier at walmart at midnight, cause the motor got ruined by water.
More about hunter.... He is such a good kid!! He's really mellow and shy. Any strangers that comes around, he'll either cry and hide, or growl with a mean look!! Then... maybe he will warm up to you. It's kindof funny in a way.. but i'm hoping that he grows out of that one.
He weighs 48 pounds, and is 45 inches tall! He's basically the size of a 1st grader!! He is such a cute boy, though.

*loves to play with his brother.
*He loves to watch seasame street(especially elmo)
*He loves his grandparents
*He loves cats and dogs.

Jacob...
He is a sweetheart... they both are. Jacob is 17 months (will be on the 27th)
He wieghs 22 pounds and is 32 1/2 inches long! He smiles alot! He has 4 teeth on top, 3 on the bottom and 2 molers! He has had a rough time teething. It's either swollen, red gums and cheeks, or diarrahea! He's our little trooper!
When he was born, he was 5 weeks early, and had pnemonia. He was in the hospital with a venilator for a week! It was really hard to sink it in that we wouldn't be able to bring him home for a while.
We love him dearly, and are so glad that both of our boys are in our lifes!!
*He feeds himself.
*He loves to cuddle when he is tired.
*He is such a mischieveous kid! Wants to explore everything!
*He loves to climb on everything too!
*he takes 1-2 hour naps once, and maybe twice a day.
* He says : eat,cracker,cookie,mamma,dadda etc.

What else has been going on? ... We had a christmas party with ryan's extended family that they have yearly. It was good. I think that the boys had a good time. Hunter wasn't to pleased to sit on santa clause's lap, and jacob just gave him dirty looks and stared at him for a long time! It was so funny.
Other than that, not much has been going on. Just getting ready for christmas! It was been a busy month, but a good one!
I want to thank my Heavenly Father for all of the blessings he has given us! We have been so blessed in so many ways! I'm so greatful for my family!I love you all! Thanks for the support that you give to us! Yes, Even the ones that live in Vernal!! I miss you guys!

End of October News

Okay, so i am really bad at blogging and keeping it up-to-date. So much has been going on, that i hope that I don't forget anything, so here it goes..

So, as soon as the cold weather hit, we all got sick with colds and the stomach flu. Then... Hunter got sick from school a days later, and a week later, Jacob got the same thing. I, all of a sudden had stomach problems and had to go to the doc. for that. Anyway.. we have all battled with the flu and colds. Hopefully, it's over for awhile!
On Friday afternoon and part of saturday, I noticed Jaocb having a tary, black stool. By the time sunday came, I started to get alittle concerned and puzzled cause he didn't have a fever, runny nose, or any syptoms that he was sick, he just had the black stool. Well.. 8 p.m. I put him to bed and he was a little hard to get to sleep cause he was fighting it, and fell asleep for about 20 minutes and then woke up screaming with pain! Ryan ran upstairs to grab him, and he hollared at me saying" take him to E.R. right now! there's something wrong!" So, I was rushing everywhere to get ready and jake ready and warm, and immediately called my mother-in-law cause Hunter was tired and Ryan was ready to go anywhere, so I went and got her.
We got at the UVMC at 9p.m. and there were so many people sick with face masks on, and hardly a seat to sit down.
We sat outside for an hour and a half before we could see a nurse. They finally put us in a room, and we waited and it seemed like it took forever for a doc to see jake. They took jacob and I back into the X-Ray room and got his chest x-rayed. Two people had to hold him still so that they could take pictures! They had to hold his arms up by his ears and he just screamed the whole time! Once that was done, the doc. came back and said that everything was normal. His stool wasn't bloody, thank goodness, but they couldn't figure out what was really wrong other than maybe that he was getting or had a virus.
To make a long story kindof short, we were at the hospital for almost 4 hours! That... was a long night!
okay... it's kindof late, and I have to go to bed. I will get caught up soon!

Ear Tubes

So... here I sit at the computer not knowing what to type... It has been kindof busy lately and I haven't been able to update our blog.

For the past 6 weeks, Jacob has had double ear infections literally one right after the other! I was taken him to the doctor every week and a half to two weeks! Finally, after giving him 3 shots one week, and 3 more the next, each day. We had to go back and forth ALOT!

Then on his birthday, he had to have a physical, and had more shots! So, it was crazy, and I wanted to cry along with him.

On August 3rd, We had to go to the ENT doctor, and he said that since Jacob had too many infections within a 6 week period, he was a good candid to get tubes put in his ears. Jacob was such a good baby for having so many ear infections, but I do have to say that all of us had several restless nights!

Today, August 20th, at 7:15 a.m. Ryan took a couple of hours off of work to support jacob and we went to the American Fork Hospital. This kid was so easy going and amazing! We went and checked in, sat in the waiting room for about 15 minutes. We then went in to another room, and we saw 4 different docs. and nurses to do paper work. We dressed Jake into a cute little hospital gown and they had bootie socks for him. He was so cute. I wanted to take my camera, but ryan said" I don't want to remember this! " So... no pictures.. sorry.

One of the RN's took him and wrapped him in his blanket, and we waited for him for 10-15 minutes total, and he was in my arms. I expected for him to cry really hard, but he just sat in my arms and i gave him a bottle of milk, and he chugged it down! Finally, We were given instructions on ear drops, etc. and left. He was so good. Ryan and I couldn't believe it!

An update on Hunter.... He is completely potty trained as of almost 4 weeks ago!! He has only had 2 wet accidents in his bed so far! He is doing really well.

He starts Pre-K on the 31st and gets to go 4 days a week! I am so excited for him... i think that him going that much will help him more with his speech!! He gets better every day.. He is so funny, and make us all smile and laugh... with his animated expressions and the way he dances... His mouth goes 90 miles an hour most days...and we can understand what he is saying maybe 30% of the time!:)

We love both of our boys and wouldn't know what to do or think if he didn't have them in our lives!

One Year Old!

Where did the year go?? I was reminded that the day before I had Jacob, I was tieing a quilt at the canyon with Ryan's family!
Jacob is such a fun and sweet baby! He has gone through alot.. being born 5 weeks early, with pnemonia and in the hospital for a week, getting sick with colds, and now ear infections..
At the same time, our family is so blessed to have him! The Lord has truly blessed us with beautiful children!
Ryan and I had close family members over at our house for cake and ice cream, and we got to sit out on the lawn and patio cause there wasn't quite enough seats for everyone to be inside.
Jake opened presents and got alot of toys, and then we had cake and Ice cream. We lit the candles that said"happy birthday" and we sang to him, and my mom had the cake just in the perfect reach of jake, and he smeared his hand in the cake! After getting his hands in the 4" inch cake that was his, he had frosting all over his hair, up his nose... and he had it EVERYWHERE! It was fun to watch him get into it though.
New things that he is doing:
*crawls and army crawls perfectly

*stands and hangs on to furniture.

*scoots along furniture.

*Loves to play with Hunter

*gets into everything!

ok.... I know that i'm really behind on updating this silly thing, but life has been so crazy! First of all, we found out by going to the doctor that Jacob had his 2nd double ear infection 3 weeks ago so the doc. persribed a Omnicef (a strong medicine) and he to take that for 10 days. Well... on the 9th day, he was just not looking good and he was fussy and not sleeping very well. So, my mother intuition sent me to the doc again... his left ear has cleared up, but the right ear was severely infected. The doctor said that since the meds were not working completely, that maybe the shots would work. He had to have Rociphin shots for 3 days. My sweet mother in law took me cause we only have one car, and it's also nice to have her help with the kids. The weekend went by and by monday, he was still screaming and pulling on his ears! So... I called the nurse and told her what was going on, and she said " well.. you should probably come in again and have his ears checked cause if he still has an ear infection, then he will need to see a specialist! At this point, I was overwhelmed and was having flash backs of when Hunter had tubes in his ears and then paying for the bill! NOT fun. It seemed that it took forever to pay off!

Anyway... so I called the specialists' office and told the receptionist that we needed to get in right away. She said "the doctor won't be in all week", our next available opening is at 1:30. Well.. it was only 11:30 at the time, we didn't want to go back and forth from American Fork to Springville, so we waited and come to find out when I went to sign in, the receptionist said that our insurance wouldn't pay for 2 appointments in the same day, so we had to reschedule for the next morning.

Tuesday morning, at 10 a.m. we went back to the ENT doc. and he was mostly concerned if there was fluid in the back of his ear drum... and checked them and said that they were clear!!

So Ryan and I have had basically no sleep for the last 2-3 weeks from Jacob being sick and he used to be with Hunter in our recent apartment.

July 20th... things are alot better and Jacob is over his ear infection! We'll see what happens within a couple of months if he gets another infection..

Hunter is doing well with the potty training. He goes in the morning when he wakes up and then it's hit and miss from there.

Hunter graduated from Pre-K at Geneva Elementry. We were so proud of him!

New Things about Jacob:

* pulls himself up to everything and scoots along furniture

* Loves his brother

* loves to eat anything that the rest of us are eating!

* loves the outdoors and to go for rides.

* starting to understand the word "NO!

* Sleeps from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and is up for the day!

* takes naps 8 and 2

Potty Training...

On June 1st, I decided to start potty training hunter. The first weekend that we started, he pooped in the toilet! I was so suprised and excited that things were progressing so soon... well as the week went by, everytime i tried to put him on the toilet, he would throw a fit and want off. After a couple of days, and getting used to the idea that it WAS ok to go in the toilet, he would sit there on the toilet for 10 minutes at a time, and couple of times, a half hour! I would play games with him, play pee-a-boo, sing songs, and he would just laugh.
He is getting the hang of it, and i'm so glad that we won't have to buy diapers for him anymore.
I'm so proud of him. More about him....He is getting so much better with his speech..... he just started ESY( extended summer year ) school. He gets on the bus at 7:30 a.m. school starts at 8:30 a.m. and he gets out at 11. He will go for two weeks out of this month, and then we are moving! Another tranistion! New everything!
We are moving to Springville, where Ryan grew up. We found a Duplex to rent. It will be really nice to get a little more room to breath. We are pretty excited. We have been in our apartment for 5 years, and after having 2 kids, there just isn't any more space to put anything. So, I have started to pack the few days.

News on Jacob... He has discovered that he can stand up in his crip. Ryan and I had to put the matress to it's lowest setting so that he won't fall out, and he tries to put himself up to the furniture, but gets quite frustrated and falls. He is such an active little boy! He will be walking before I know it!
He amazes me how he just wants to go all of the time. Hunter was a very mellow kid and wasn't like jake until he was over a year old.
oh well, they are both lots of fun. They are growing up so fast.

10 Months

ok... so it's been a while since I up dated our blog. I'm not very good at keeping it updated.... so here it goes.

Jacob is 10 months now, and every month it blows me away of how much he grows and progresses with new things that he does. He just started to get on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. I'm sure that he is just going to take off very soon!
His two teeth finally broke through just a little bit.
He gets into everything! He loves to be outside. As soon as he sees the door open, he is half way out before I know it.

Now, about Hunter. I started potty training him a week ago, and I was always missing him needing to go the bathroom. Well... Saturday night at around 7 p.m. I sat him on the toilet, and we played games and I made him laugh, and then all of the sudden he was pushing... yes he went poop! :) I couldn't beleive it! I was so proud of him. Now, I get to go to the dollar store so that he can pick something out. Hopefully, he will be more motivated to go pee when he needs too.
I thought that it would take a long time for him to go, but he did it! We are so proud of you hunter!
I am going to try to get some pictures of the boys on the blog very soon.
We went to the park to have a birthday party for Ryan's sister that is turning 40!! There were lots of people there and we had a good time.
anyway.... that's all that I can think of that is going on right now.

9 months

9 Months

I'm always alittle late a posting . Jacob is getting cuter and cuter as he gets older. He is army crawling faster and faster. He even follows me around. It's so crazy! Every once in awhile, I'll catch him doing a push-up here and there, and before I know it, he is going to be crawling! It's so fun to watch the phases that he is going through!!

He loves his brother, hunter! Hunter has been such a wonderful, big brother since Jacob was born. He has and is always helping me when we are in the car and jake is fussy, hunter will give jacob his binki or a toy and play with him. Hunter loves his brother and other kids! I am so greatful and blessed to have such wonderful children!!

Jacob is:

okay... so here are some pictures of jacob. Just to let you know, he is army crawling and getting stronger and faster each day! I don't think that I'm quite ready for him to crawl, but I don't think that I have a choice! :) He is so fun. He is such a happy baby! I can't beleive that he will be 9 months soon!

I took a video of him army crawling, but for some reason it's not working. I'll have to have my husband work on it!

Well... I thought that I would hurry and up date while I had a minute. It's been a crazy couple of weeks. To start off, the good news is that Ryan got a $500 cash bonus last Thursday! I was so excited for him! They had the oppurtunity to go to Sundance for lunch with all of the supervisors and the vise president of the company! I am so proud to have a husband that works so hard!
I had to pick Ryan up from work cause I had the car and he gave me a card with cash in it! My jaw dropped and was so suprised! I asked him if we could go and get a wii and a wii fit, and he instantly said yeah, lets go get one! We have been wanting a wii and wii fit since Christmas, and we finally got one! Well, as soon as we got home, Ryan hooked it up and we started to do the games and the aerobics. It's really fun and we use it everyday! :)

News on Jacob:
He started to army crawl! Today was his first time figuring it out! He goes everywhere! i think that he is going to get up and crawl soon! It's cute though!

Ryan has been sick with strepthroat for 4 days! Yep, his paycheck is going to kick us in the butt,oh well.. It will all work out.
Well... i will post pictures very soon.
I need to go so that the baby can go to bed.

Ryan and I can't believe that he's getting so big so fast!

Jacob was so tired that after finishing his bottle, he fell asleep! i thought that this was so sweet. We bought a 6-12 month outfit for an early Easter gift from the "Easter Bunny" cause he doesn't have and church clothes. Both boys have yellow outfits and they look so cute together!

Jacob turned 8 months on Friday! He just keeps growing like a weed. I have more and more people say that he looks like me! :O)

He is getting to be more fun everyday. He isn't completely sitting up yet. He still has a round bumb! :) We sit him on the floor and he just folds in half or falls over. He will get there soon.

He is also still teething. It's been a drag for me cause he started two months ago. He has been busy biting everything!

He is rolling everywhere! He gets alittle frustrated that he can't get things out of his reach, but he always figures it out. He's a smart boy. I'm very glad to have him in my life and in our family! He makes me smile everyday and makes me feel better when I'm having a rough day.

I haven't been able to up date our blog cause life seems to busy and hectic lately, especially the last few weeks.

Almost 2 weeks ago, it was ryan and i's 5 yr anniversary!! Yooray! Our anniversary was on a friday, and we celebrated it on saturday.

We had a good time celebrating it. We went to the mall and got a couple of shirts for ryan and then we went to Red Robin for lunch, and then we went to the matinee'. The movie we saw was "The Knowing", with Nicholas Cage. It was good, and it kept you on the edge of your seat most of the movie. Very tense movie. We were so tired of an all day activity that we came home and took an hour nap! That was not intentional to take that long of a nap, cause the kids were at my inlaws all day. We had to go grocery shopping and take it home and unload it and by the time that we picked our kids up, it was 9:00p.m.!

Hunter spent the night at my in-laws for the second time in a year and a half! My mother in law always loves to have hunter over to stay with her.

I don't know what I would do with out wonderful in-laws that take such good care of us and our kids!! Thanks Mom for everything!

Well this week was kindof crazy... Not much happened on Monday and Tuesday. Hunter went to school on Wednesday and had a good day. Thursday morning, I went into the doc to see why my blood sugar has been out of control. Long story short, after tell him what symptoms I was having, I had asked him he thought that maybe it was post pardum depression. Yeah, it is. So i'm on Zoloft just til July, which it's bad. I didn't realize but the last few months I was getting bad.

Well..Thursday afternoon , Hunter didn't take a nap. ( which is decreasing fast) and I noticed that he wasn't eating much through out the day. He was really cranky went to bed early (9pm.) which doesnt happen very often either. That night at around 3 a.m. Jacob woke up hungry, so i fed him a 6 oz. bottle, and then put him to bed. Not long after that, Hunter decided to climb into our bed. When he got in on my side, he was alittle warm, but I didn't think anything of it. Who does when your half asleep??

So, he is such a wiggle worm, and all night he was back and forth to his room to ours, and then in and out of our bed. Finally, he gave up and fell asleep on our floor. I took him into his own bed shortly after he fell asleep. Then, by 7 a.m. he was up for the day. Ryan and I noticed that his ears were bright red, and so ryan felt him and said"honey, hunter is burning up"! I took his temp, and sure enough it was 101.1. Yep, he was sick. I felt so frustrated cause this was the last thing that I needed. I guess i needed more sleep.

Saturday: Hunter seems to be feeling alot better today. He hasn't fevered at all. He is still not eating much, which is normal. We stayed in the house all day. It was pretty boring, and hunter was begging to go outside. Now, Ryan is getting it! I think that's going to go around eventually, we'll see what happens!

7 Months

Jacob turned 7 months on the 27th of Feb! We just took him to the doc cause he got an ear infection last week and he weighed 16lbs 2 oz and he is 26 1/2 inches long!! He is getting alot better now from being sick.

Some of the things that he loves to do are:

*he rolls everywhere!

*He smiles to anyone that is talking to him and playing with him.

*he sleeps from 8:30p.m. to 6.a.m.!

* loves to reach for anything that is in front of him!

* he is a happy, loveable, beautiful baby!

*he loves to play with hunter

*he loves to watch t.v. with the family!

We are very lucky and happy to have him in our family! We love you jacob!

Monday, Feb. 23rd

So, last wednesday, Hunter went to school and when he came back i read his note book and it said" hunter participated so well in circle time that he did the actions and sang the ABC song! It was awsome!" I love reading the teachers' notes. We pass it back and forth for communication on how hunter is doing! I am so proud of Hunter! He loves school and is doing so well. He is such a good boy, and I wouldn't know what to do without him!
On Thursday, he was sneezing and coughing. and that night he was having low-grade fevers. So, we kept giving him tylenol and motrin to brake the fever. It would break, but about an hour later, it would bounce back to 99.9... the next day it got worse. He was coughing even harder and ryan and I thought that he was just getting a cold. Well.. it wasn't getting better no matter what meds we were giving him, and so we did our best. Then on Monday, I called the doctor and took hunter in at 10:45 a.m. and I love our doctor! He is sooo good. He checked his ears and lungs and looked at hunter and said " hunter has sinus infection". I thought" great! That's just what I need is a 3 year old to have a sinus infection." So, he is on 2 perscriptions. One is a cough medicine that makes him drowsy and the other one is to help the sinus infection.
Now, it tuesday and he is starting to get better. He just coughs his head off and then sometimes gets upset cause it hurts.
I'm so glad that I have him as my son! He is such a good helper no matter how he feels. He is soo good with Jake, and Jacob loves him alot!

First time in Highchair

So....I decided that I was tired of putting Jacob in the corner of the couch or on his bouncer to feed him. So, i got the highchair out of the storage unit. I wiped it down really well, and then put him in it. It made him look so much older but is so cute! He loves it! I put him in it all of the time now. When he doesn't want to play on the floor and just wants to be held, I just put him in the high chair with some toys. P.S. the pictures go from bottom to top.

I took a couple of pictures of him in it and then some of him after he ate. He's such a mess. :)

6 Months

Jacob just turned 6 months today! It's crazy to think that my kids are growing up so fast! Everyday I try to take it all in and enjoy him while he is somewhat small still. He is so much fun and are so greatful and blessed that he choice ryan and I as his parents! Since he started with collic at birth, it's been on occation rough 6 months, but he is getting alot better, and is alot happier!
The other thing that he was going through for a couple of days was "strike". He wasn't nursing very well cause he is so spoiled with the bottle that is a medium flow nipple. So I called Le Liche' League (it's a club.) And when I call and leave a message, some one anywhere in the U.S. calls me back. I talked to a lady from Minnesota and she gave me alot of points on what I could do. One of the suggestions were to take a bath with Jake, cause skin to skin is the best, so.,.. that is what I did. Well.. that didn't work very well cause Hunter was playing and putting his hand in the water and splashing so it was distracting Jacob alot and he would twist his body. So, I finally got out and the later it got, the more I got frustrated cause he was just not nursing at all and so I would pump and then give the pumped milk to him in a bottle.
Now, he is getting alot better. As long as he is hungry enough or tired, he will nurse. I just hope that I'm not loosing my milk supply. I guess I need to try harder to drink more fluids so that my milk supply will come in better.
Anyway... the new things that he has been doing are:
*reaching for everything!
*smiles and laughs alot*
*as soon as mommy puts me on the floor, I roll from back to stomach and get stuck, and then get mad cause I can't seem to roll back over yet.
* He loves to sit up. No more laying down!
*He loves his brother, Hunter and watches everything that he does and then laughs some more.
*he loves to watch t.v. with the family.
* he an excellent sleeper! Sleeps at 8:30 p.m. and gets up only once at 5 a.m. to eat. and then goes back to sleep till 7:30 a.m.!
*loves baby food. (pears, prunes, sweet potatoes, bananas)

I need to give him more green beans and veggies so that he will like them when he is older. :)

Wow! It's been too long since I up dated our blog, so while I have a short time, I will give some up date on what has been going on.
Hunter is going to school on wednesdays and fridays. He loves it .... i think. His teacher's aid says that he is doing really well. Ryan and I drill him every day with words that he can say... the words that he is now saying are:

Well... anyway... he is getting better! He says more than this, i just can't think right now.
Jacob is almost 6 months! He is constantly rolling and then gets mad that he can't roll back over!
Hunter and jake are like best friends! Hunter makes Jake laugh all of the time. His personality makes my day! He is so much fun and a blessing in our lives!
Ryan is busy with work and has gone back to school. He has about a year left and I can't wait to have him done!
I'm still working at the Provo Temple. I went from 20 hours a week to guaranteed 4 and then on call during the week. Things have been really tight but we have been so blessed at the same time.

*5 Months Old

Jacob turned 5 months just after christmas. On Jan 3rd, I had him on the floor on his gym mat and all of a sudden he rolled! I got so excited that I scared Ryan a little bit!

Now, everytime i put him on the floor to play it takes him only 2-3 minutes and he is on his stomach! After a few minutes he gets frustrated and can't roll back over. It's kindof cute. I'm sure that he will figure it out really fast too.

Today, was Hunter's first week of going to Primary! Yes, I can't beleive that he is now a Sunbeam! I took him to class and soon as I was out of his sight, he cried so hard that big alligator tears rolled down his cheeks. I felt bad so I stayed with him during class. Then after that, it was time for singing time, and I left and went to R.S. and after church he had one shoe off and had been crying again. Anyway...I think that after a couple of weeks of going, he'll be better.

Okay, so I am really bad as far as getting caught up with this silly blog and staying caught up. I'll blame it on having two kids! :)
Anyway.... I have been meaning to get pictures on the blog so here they are.
Hunter is now liking the bus and school as well..
We get to go home to my mom's for christmas this year! I am so excited! Everyone (except for my dad and possibly jordon and wendi.) Jordon has to have his yucky chemo treatment on the 23rd and this will be the first time that it goes to his heart. I hope that he will be okay, and that he will be able to come with us.
Anyway... Jacob is doing well and is growing like a weed! To give you an up date on his weight, he is 12lbs 13 oz and 24 1/4 inches long! He is getting to where he loves to hear his voice and is getting really vocal. He laughs and smiles alot! He is going to bed at 8:30 p.m. and doesn't get up to eat again til 4:30a.m.! He loves to play peek-a-boo and patti-cake. He just laughs, it's so cute! :) He sucks his thumb nonstop! I talked to the dentist when I had my teeth cleaned and told him and he said to get him addicted to the binki cause it comes time to wheening him from the binki, I can just cut the binki like we did with hunter. So hopefully, he will get used to the binki instead.

Ok.... so I haven't updated my blog lately, and thanksgiving flew by and now it's already december!! yeah, time does fly! I have to say that I am thankful for alot of things. First off, I'm thankful for my husband and kids. I love them so much! I honestly wouldn't know what to do without them, especially my husband. He puts up with me alot and is really patient with me. Second of all, My Heavenly Father. We have been so blessed lately. Ryan got a 1.50 raise for his job, and we have been able to start buying christmas for the boys~ we have just been blessed all the way around.

Thanksgiving night, we left hunter with my in-laws and took jacob with us on Friday morning and did the "black friday"~ never again~ that was tiring-even though we got up at 6:30 a.m. and left the house by 7:30. Try packing a 12.5 pounder around~ that'll give you some exersice!

Well.... as I said earlier, yes Jacob is getting big! He is still collicy! His sleeping habits during the day are horrible! He is awake an hour and then sleeps an hour and has that pattern throughout the day. Then he is fussy alot. When I feed him, he will latch on just fine and then 3-5 minutes he pulls away and fusses and then will eat some more. oh, it's fun!!
We are giving him previcid once a day. At night when I leave for work, Jacob gives ryan the fits and cries for 1-2 hours straight!
The good news is that he is a fun baby and smiles and laughs alot. We are truly blessed! i just wish that he didn't have collic!
He goes in to the doc. for his 4 month check up and we will be getting another weight and height on him. i will up date with hopefully a picture or two soon!

Doctor appointments

On Tuesday, Hunter had his 3 year old well-check up. The only shot that he had to have was the flu shot. He did pretty good considering that he would fight with me to strap him down! They gave him a sucker right after and he calmed down.
We had Jacob checked too, cause he has been sneezing and coughing. We had him weighed and measured, and right now, he weighs 12 lbs 5 oz and is 23 3/4 in. long!!! Hunter was 42 lbs and 39 1/4 in. long! :) They are both getting tall!

Today was hunter's first day of school! (pre-K!) He was the first one there and he immediately sat down and started to play while we were waiting for the bus to come. The kids finally came, and everyone sat in a half circle. Hunter's shoe fell off and the boy next to him was trying to help him. The kids were so cute and helpful! When i left, he was that I was leaving and was crying. I was sad for him, but i know that he will be okay and that school will be soooo good for him. As I sit here with jacob at home alone, it's so quite without him. It makes me realize that I am blessed and that I wouldn't know what to do with out him!! I love you hunter!

Well... Jacob has officially found his thumb! We have to pull it out and give the binki to him instead. He of course spits it out and in goes the fist! Yeah, every one says that it's cute but hopefully, he doesn't think that he can suck his thumb! I really don't want to pay for braces in the future! :)

Anyway... Jacob will be 4 months on the 27th! He is growing like a weed! He is so much fun and have been a blessing in my personal life! He is laughing and smiling and is a happy baby.... most of the time!
I guess i have him kindof spoiled cause i hold him til he falls asleep and then I lay him down. It never fails that 5 minutes later he is fussing! Oh, well I love him alot, what can i say??
When he goes down for bed at night, he is pretty good to stay asleep.

So, This is going to sound like i'm comparing babies, but I was watching Jhett's video of him rolling! I can't beleive how fast he is moving! Jacob on the other hand, I put him on his tummy all of the time, and he's not rolling yet. He did come 5 weeks early and hopefully, he will catch up and roll soon! :)
Well that's all i have to say for right now. I better go and pay attention to my kids!

Hunter's 3rd Birthday!

So.... Hunter just turned 3 today!! I can't believe it! Where did the last 3 years go!?? He has grown so fast! I am so lucky and greatful to have him in my life and in our family! He is such a joy to be with! I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my boys~ I am truly blessed!

This morning, we met with 5 different women that will be working with hunter. I was really impressed with them all! There was an occupational therapist, speech therapist, a p.e. teacher and a couple of other therapists.
Anyway... he starts pre-K (Special ED) next wednesday, and will go wed. friday's! I am so excited that he is getting the extra help that he needs to succeed!
He also gets to ride a bus!! It will come to our house, and he will be gone for 2 1/2 hours and then come home. It will be a big adjustement (for me) and transition but this will be really good for him to open up! I am just really excited all the way around! :) I guess I have to say that it's just crazy to think that i had him 3 years ago!!

Ryan and I decided to take hunter to Disney on Ice for his birthday! So, my mom bought hunter's ticket for his birthday! Thank you mom for the gift and for all that you do!!
I know that he will have a good time! We will take alot of pictures and post them later.

To give you an update on Jacob. He will be 4 months old on the 27th!! He is smiling ALOT and giggles! It's so cute! He is doing alot better with his stomach aches. He is on prevacid cause he is collic. He actually goes 8-9 hours without eating in the night and eats every 2-2 1/2 hours during the day! I haven't weighed him for a while and am anxious to know what his weight is now. The last time that he was weighed, he was 11 lbs, 11 oz! I'm sure that he is well over 12 pounds now!

So, I guess I have to say that I am just one big party pooper when it comes to halloween! I didn't get the chance to look for a costume for myself, and before I knew it, it was too late. I will spend the money and time for my kids but I'm just not into it I guess.
I bought a knight outfit for Hunter and a bumble bee outfit for Jacob. They were really cute.
Ryan and I had the day off and we just took it easy all day. We fought with hunter to take a nap and he ended up taking an hour nap and was still cranky!
We got invited to my in-laws ward trunk or treat. It was fun for hunter to go around and get candy for a short time. After that, we went to ryan's grandma's house and she always makes cute party sacks full of treats. It always comes with rice crispy treats, and small stuffed animal, a gift card to mc donald's and fruit snacks. We weren't there very long, and went back to my in-laws house for dinner. We just had sandwiches and chips. After dinner, jacob was having a hard time with his stomach again,so we went home to bed.

Getting caught up with this blog is really hard cause I have so much to say and don't know where to start. This week has been fairly busy. Wednesday I had to take Jacob to the doc. again after taking him to the doc. the previous week cause.... Tuesday night, when i got to work and was there only 45 minutes, I called ryan to see how the boys were and Jacob was screaming bloody murder with pain. Ryan said" honey you need to come home, I don't know what to do!" SO, in an emergency, I told my supervisor that I needed to go home cause jacob was really upset. I do have to say that I'm greatful that I have understanding bosses that will let me take care of my family when it is needed.
I raced to change my clothes and went home. When I got home, Ryan, Hunter and the baby were on the floor. Hunter trying to pat jacob in the stomach, ryan talking to the baby as the baby is screaming! I dropped everything and immediately knew that he was constipated! So I grabbed a glestrin suppository and not even five minutes later, he had a messy diaper. He calmed down after the procedure and about 10 minutes later he was screaming again.
Well.. the next day, my mother instinct kicked in and I called the doc. and told the nurse what was going on, a few minutes later, she called back saying that the doc. wanted to see jacob again, and maybe run some tests on him and talk about some different options of what I could do.
Our appointment was at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, and come to find out, he is collicy! The doc. told me that it wouldn't last forever that he would grow out of it within 3-6 months! He sent us to the Radiology department to do an emena and x-ray for friday.
The doc. gave us some really expensive formula. he said that it was 30 bucks a can! He gave us 3 -8oz cans to try for a couple of days to see if he notice anything different. It actually is working!The bad thing is that it stinks to hight heaven and his stool is going to be smelly!
the good thing is that he likes to nurse! So, I still am nursing him, and ryan gives him a bottle of formula at night.
Ever since Wednesday, he has been doing a little better each day.

My Birthday and Conference

First of all, I need to thank stephanie and Justin for coming to the party and bringing their camera and taking pictures! They are always prepared when it comes to taking pictures! I also want to thank every one for just being there for my birthday! I had a really good day!
I requested peach cobbler for my birthday instead of chocolate cake, and my father and mother in law were really nice enough to do a dutch oven dinner for me at their house! It was really good food. We watched the second half of conference on sunday with Ryans' parents and I really enjoyed all of the sessions of conference. I was really touched by all of the talks! I think that my favorite was Elder Iring and Pres. Monson's talks.
I can't beleive that I am 31 already! I guess when it comes to getting older, it's my parents that are REALLY old! :)

Update on our family

Well... we had the special oppurtunity to bless Jacob on saturday! Ryan did a really good job. It was short and sweet. Jacob looked sooo cute in his tux. It was actually what jordon wore when he was blessed. I forgot our camera to take pictures, so i was bumbed.
He was such a good boy and slept through the blessing. afterwards, we went to Golden Corral for lunch. The food wasn't all that great. It was busy and I forgot to call in advance and make reservations. I will be more organized next time. :)

I wanted to thank every one that came to the blessing! There was a big turn out, and we were so excited to see everyone!! I am so grateful for family and the friends that we have! We are so blessed! thank you for supporting us and Jacob!
I'm grateful for the priesthood that we have in our home. I'm also grateful for ryan. He is an amazing man, and I love him dearly! It will be 6 years that we have known each other on Halloween night, and 5 years that we have been married next march! We of course have had our ups and downs, but i wouldn't trade him for the world! I love you, Ryan!

We went to Jacob's 2 month check up today! He is 9 lbs 11 oz! Yep, he is a big boy, and he is 21 3/4 in. long!! He is growing just too fast. Why can't they just be small for a while??!
We love him anyway!!

Jacob is 2 months old now. I can't beleive how fast he has grown and how much he changes each week! He weighs 9 lbs 11 oz. and is almost 22 inches long! I guess I have chubby kids no matter if they are preemie or full term babies! :) Oh, well.. he is cute anyway..

Hunter just started his transition play group 3 weeks ago. He is doing very well and loves to play with the kids. I drop him off and pick him up after an hour and a half. (9:30-11a.m.) and goes on tuesdays.
I thought that I would be hard for me, with him being gone,but it actually is nice cause I can go do what I want with just the baby.
I have backed off on the potty training cause I don't feel or think that he is ready. so, we will start again when he turns 3 in November.

Ryan is staying busy with work and watches the boys when i go to work at night. He's getting the taste of being "Mr. Mom"! it's good for him. :)

Saturday was such a long day. I had made an appointment to get the kids pictures done at kiddiekandids at 11:30 a.m. I had to be there at 11:15 to sign in. Well I got there at 11 and they said that one of their cameras were not working and there were a couple of families ahead of me.
I am so glad that my in-laws were there to help me out! So, thank you so much!
Well.. while we were waiting, hunter would run up and down the isle and run into people. I was trying to catch him, while at the same time waking jacob up so that I could feed him. Jacob finally woke up so I changed his diaper cause he was alittle messy. In the meantime of changing him, he decided to have squirt all over my shirt and pee at the same time! I was wearing a pink shirt. I only had a couple of spots, but still I was not ready for a dirty shirt!
It was finally our turn and we did 6 poses. 2 of hunter, 2 of jacob, 1 of me holding jacob with just his diaper on. I wanted one with him naked and me holding him, but didn't get the chance to do it, and then 1 of Hunter holding Jacob. Well... when it got to the point of Hunter holding Jacob, it was not a good moment. Hunter was stressing out and Jacob was fussy. So, if you can imagine 2 boys crying at the same time! That, was interesting. Since hunter wouldn't hold Jacob, one of the girls held jake so that it looked like Hunter was holding jake.
While changing jacob into a different outfit, he peed all over me.
All of these pictures turned out really cute. Now, it's just deciding what poses and sizes to get is hard for me.
After the pictures were done, it was my turn to choose what I wanted. My in-laws entertained hunter by going to the "Build a bear"store. They would go back and forth to the benches in the isle of the mall. I guess hunter bent over and stood there while peeing on the floor. All I had was a new pair of shorts for him. His shirt, shorts, socks were soaking wet! So, my mother in law had to go to the disney store and buy a new shirt for hunter. At this time, it was 2:30 almost! We had been there for 3 1/2 hours! I was so tired that I couldn't think of what I wanted and we hadn't had lunch. So, I gave up and told the girl that was helping me, that I would come back with my husband.
Ryan got home at 6:15p.m. and I told him that we needed to go back and get the pictures, and he didn't want to. So, we still don't have the pictures but I will get them this week.
In a nutshell, It was a very long day.

Good News!

Well... we went to the doc's yesterday and Jacob is now off of the oxygen!! So, we have all been relieved with that. He's growing fast! He's up to 5lbs 15oz. I can't believe he will be a month old on the 27th!

Lastnight, he got up at 11,3&6 and he's nursing a lot longer and better. I guess I shouldn't be too worried as far as pumping cause i'm getting plenty. He is still getting tummy aches but not as much anymore. The doc. says that the reason he is getting them is because he is preemie and his tummy hasn't expanded enough yet. I still give him mylicon and grip water.

Yesterday, also my mother called and said that she was going to pick jordon and stephanie up and come over and visit. We ended up going to Chuck-A-Rama for dinner. It was alot of fun to see the family again and be able to get together.

doctor's...doctor's and more doctor's!!

On monday, we went into the doctor for a follow-up. Jacob got circumcized and that was hard for me to hear him screaming to the top of his lungs. The doc. asked if I wanted to stay and watch. I was there until the nurse was strapping him down really tight so that he wouldn't move. He started to fuss, and then I had to go out of the room.

So, my mother-in-law, Hunter and I stayed in another room and just waited... 30 minutes later they brought him to me. His little face was really red from crying. It broke my heart.

Then... I told the doc. that Jacob had been getting tummy aches and he said that because he had only gained 3 oz this last week, that he was probably not getting enough to eat. He falls asleep after 10 minutes of nursing so i put him to bed thinking that he is full, and an hour later he is hungry again..So, I have been trying to keep him up more during the day and supplementing with a bottle just once a day, hoping that he will sleep longer during the night.

Then.. just the last couple of nights that I have been nursing him, he eats til I'm dry and acts like i have starved him an hour or two later. I've been having to pump after i nurse him, just so that my milk will keep coming in.

Well.. we are going in again... for a follow up on thursday to see how his room air test went and then weigh him again to see if he is gaining enough weight.... and every week until the doctor thinks that he is doing better.

Other than that! He is doing well. Hopefully, we can take this silly oxygen off tomorrow!

I don't mind putting updates on our blog, but I guess I just don't have enough pictures. So, I will have Ryan take lots of pictures today and I will post them too.
The last couple of days have been alot better for both Jacob and I. I think that he still has his days and nights mixed up but he is getting alot better. He's awake more often during the day.
Hunter loves his baby brother! He likes to kiss him on the head and in the eye. Then his way of cuddling is he'll put his head on Jacob's head. It's so cute. I am so glad that Hunter has and is adjusting to another baby very well. I am lucky to have a child that loves babies as much as I do! :)

Today was a good day. My mother in law came over at noon and helped me get the kids ready for the day. We had to take Jacob in the doctor for a follow-up and get his PKU done. Yep, another poke in the heel! He didn't like that very much, but who would!?
Jacob is growing like a weed! At birth, he was 5 lbs 1 oz, and 17 inches long, and now he is 19 inches long and is 5lbs 8 oz ! I guess i'm feeding him straight cows milk! :) He gained 7 oz in a week!
The other news is that he has to be on oxygen for one more week. Since he failed his room air test(another words he couldn't breath well without the oxygen.) So, just one more week and hopefully, he'll be off.
We want to bless him soon. I'm not sure when we are going to be bless him, but it will be in September. Either the first sunday or the last sunday of the month.
Anyway... that is our news for right now. I will post later.

My baby shower, August 9th

So.... sometime in June, I went with my mother in law to Burlington Coat and she got some baby clothes. I had asked her later on if I could have them and just put them in our closet. I got a bold "no, you can have them when you have the baby!" So i backed off a little. Well, suprisingly I had the baby early and I asked her again and said "mom, you said that I could have the clothes once I had jacob, can I have them now? " She said no, not til you bring the baby home!"

She just kept putting it off! Finally, last week, she said "OK, it was supposed to be a suprise..i'm giving you a baby shower on August 9th! "

I was suprised that it came out of her mouth.. I was told from her that I wasn't going to get one only if we had a girl. Needless to say, I am greatful to wonderful in-laws that thought of giving me a baby shower to help us out! Now, I can say that I don't need to worry about buying baby clothes for a while!

It was a fun, relaxing baby shower. We had all kinds of food and tons left over. The main dish was Bar-B-Q and it got really windy outside, but didn't rain. We had presents outside waiting for me to open, and the wind blew them all over the place.

So, the last post said that I had at least 10 pictures from the disposable camera that I had, but come to find out after developing them, I only got a couple cause most of them turned out really dark! I was so frustrated. oh,well.

so.... when we were at American Fork Hospital and Jacob was transfered to Utah Valley, the people in the life flight crew gave us a disposable camera so that we could take lots of pictures.
Today, I went to Wal-Mart to get them developed with a c.d, and most of them were too dark! So, I only got like 10 pictures out of 24. I'm really bumbed. But I will post the ones that we do have and show you.
I just need to take more pictures of Hunter holding Jacob. It's so cute!

okay so, I don't have any up to date pictures right now cause they are getting developed and hopefully, I will be able to put them on our blog soon.
Jacob is doing alot better with his sleeping schedule. Lastnight was the first time that he woke up 3 times during the night to eat. It was so nice to be able to sleep for a couple of hours.
Hunter is so cute with him. Every time Hunter sees Jacob awake or crying, he is kissing the baby's head and holding his hand. I was a little nervous about Hunter adjusting, but he is doing really well!
Jacob is such a wonderful blessing in our home and we enjoy him having him in our family!

in these 3 pictures, we had to put him in the car seat to test and make sure that he could breath and everything for 90 minutes. He was not a happy camper as you can see! It was also hard to see him with an I.V. in his head and tubes connected to him.

Can I just say that it's so nice when both boys are taking naps together?? That's when I can get the house re-organized and then maybe take a cat nap.
We are still getting used to the change of a brand new baby in our home. Last week, I was at the hospital by myself, waking up every 4 hours on the clock, and going back and forth from the hospital to my house, was a little hard not being able to see Ryan and Hunter.
But.... I am so greatful to a wonderful mother and mother-in-law that take such good care of me and my family! Thanks so much moms!
It has been alot of fun watching Hunter kiss Jacob on the head and running practically over to him when he cries to see what the matter is. I think that he is going to be a big, protective brother.
I need to have ryan or myself to take pictures of Hunter holding Jacob soon so that i can put more picutres on our blog.

I thought that I would sit down while I had a few minutes and post some up to date picures. :)

We got home on Sunday August 3rd. I'm relieved that I don't have to stay at the hospital anymore. Staying there for 5 nights without Hunter and Ryan to be with was enough!

Now, that we are home, I feel overwhelmed with having 2 little boys, but I know that I will get used to it. :)

Hunter is already such a big help. He loves Jacob already and loves to kiss him on the head! It'll be interesting to see how Hunter changes and grows up as the days go by. Hopefully, he will interested to be potty trained soon so that I don't have to change diapers ALL day long!

Jacob has his days and nights mixed up and it seems like he is always fussy for something. But... I do have to say that he is such a miracle and i'm very greatful that he is here and with us!

Our precious baby was born on July 27, 2008 @ 1:23 a.m. He was born 5 weeks early and was really anxious to get here! He is a beautiful baby boy with a full head of hair and it's a dark ash blonde. He looks just like his brother, Hunter and his daddy. The only features that he has of me, are his big, long fingers and feet! :) Hmm... go figure.

He weighed 5 lbs 2 oz. and was 17 1/2 inches long. Because he was so early, his lungs weren't developed completely, they had to put a c-pap on him for a couple of hours, and he still was having a hard time breathing, so they had to put a ventalator on him for a couple of days. Later on, we found out that he had pnemonia. He was hooked up to i.v's, oxygen and a pic line in his leg. It was so sad to see him that way.

Well... it's sunday afternoon and i thought that I would up date our blog. This week has been a relaxing week. Not much has been going on. We go to Playgroup on wednesdays and that is about the busiest part of my week. We do however, get to go to the Kangaroo Zoo on Tuesday. We have never been, so that will be fun to explore.
I go into the doc. tomorrow ( Monday). I can't beleive that i'm 34 weeks along already! Yep! 4 more weeks to go! And... i'm counting down! I think that at this time of being pregnant, it can be the hardest cause I'm so ready to have this baby and not pregnant anymore. :)

Ryan has been busy with work, and with the wonderful husband that he is, he comes home and sometimes makes dinner for us! He is such a hard worker and such a wonderful husband! I don't know what i would do with out him.

Hunter is growing up too fast! He just keeps getting taller! There are a lot of people that comment on how big and tall he is for his age! I'm sure before christmas, I will have to buy him a new set of clothes and shoes. He is such a good boy and so easy to take care of!
I have been told that this next baby won't be that way. Let's just hope that he is! :)

Anyway... that is all for now. I will have to have ryan take picutres of my tummy before i have this baby to see how big I got and post them. :)

Happy July 4th everyone! Where did the month of June go!? I just thought that I would give you an up date on how our 4th went.

That morning ,bright and early at 6:00 a.m., Ryan, his brothers' family and I went and saw the hotair balloons take off. It was pretty cool, and Hunter enjoyed see yogy bear and other balloons go up into the sky.

After the balloons were enough in the air, we left and found a parking spot for the parade. I think that I forgot how long a parade really was! It was 2 hours long! Talk about being hot and sweaty. Yuck! We had fun for the most part. Out of all of us, Hunter had a good time being there and watching all of the peopl e pass and the floats go by. Here are some of the pictures that ryan took.

Merril had 3 horses that were ridable to entertain us. So i took Hunter out there cause he we are trying to get him used to his Papa Merril. Well... we are having a hard time with that, cause we don't get to see Nanna Rose and Papa Merril very often. Anyway... we went to where they were riding and hunter was petting the horses nose, and we thought that maybe hunter would be ok to get on the horse with Merril. So, I can't believe that June has been here and is now gone! I went to my doctor's appointment today and i'm already 31 weeks! I go in again when I am 341/2 weeks to have an ultrasound done to make sure that my amniotic fluid hasn't leaked. I kindof can't wait for that just so that i can see the baby alot better and once again before he is born. The kid moves constantly, which I guess that means that it's a good thing. :) I can't seem to sleep well anymore, getting up almost every hour just to go to the bathroom is getting really annoying.
It's amazing how much I am scatter brained and forgetful! Ryan gives me a hard time almost everyday. oh, well...i still love him! :)

We haven't really been busy since our family reunion. My mother did a good job planning the reunion and alot of family members helped her out!
Being with cousins was so much fun! It has been too long since we had seen them. Hopefully, we can hang out again soon! Candace, you look great! Hopefully, I don't get too much bigger and the baby will be alittle smaller than what hunter was at birth! (8 lbs 13 oz) But if he is bigger, that just meant that he was a healthy little boy! :) My luck, I will never have small babies! oh, well.

okay, so it's been awhile since i posted anything! We got back from our family reunion on Tuesday. It was a nice place to stay, and it was nice to be able to see everyone again after 2 years!
It was mostly a relaxing place to be and stay. There were games, swimming and movies to watch. I had the oppurtinity to hold a couple of babies! Yeah, I love babies! What can i say? Hunter loves them too, and hopefully, it will be an easy adjustment when our baby comes! I can't believe that i have 8 weeks left! Before i know it, it is going to be here and i will be holding our lil' Jacob in my arms! I think that hunter will be a big help. Everyone says that i am really small, but to me, of course i feel big. I'm already waddling cause it hurts to walk at times. Oh, well...

We decided to start Hunter with swimming lessons so that he maybe will won't be so afraid of the water. We started on monday, june 2nd at the Provo Recreational Center for 2 weeks. Saturday's Bar-B-Q

Today, my dad and Pamela were in town for the weekend. So, I invited Jordon,Wendi, Stephanie and Austin and my dad and Pam over for a bar-b-q! Jordon got a Wii for his birthday, so he brought it over and everyone played with it!
I do have to say that it was intertaining when it became my father's turn to play the bowling game!! :) He was such a show off! I had Ryan video tape it, so I will have to have him download some of it soon on our blog.
Since my dad doesn't get the chance to come and visit very often, it took Hunter the whole time to get warmed up to him. When they left, Hunter would give him a light hug and then want down. Hopefully, someday hunter will get used to his papa mott!
It was just nice to be able to bond with my family again. I wish that Chelsea was with us cause we miss her alot!
We have a Sorensen Reuion to go to in about 2 1/2 weeks and we are excited about that. It's in Altamont. I guess it's far enough. :) Chelsea is flying out and will stay for almost a week. It will be so nice to see her again!!
Well... it's almost 9 o'clock and i need to get Hunter in bed. I will post pictures later.

So, I need to appologize for not keeping up on our blog. While i have the time, i thought that i would put in a few words of what has been going on in our little family!

Yesterday, after dinner we went everywhere looking for a new 5 drawer dresser. Ryan said that we could get one for my mother's day gift. (a week late)I was so excited cause the one that I had was broken. So, we to several stores and couldn't find a decent on that wasn't so expensive. Finally, Ryan mentioned about me going to Kmart and getting one cause they had dressers on sale. So, Hunter and I drove over to Kmart to see it. My mother in law met us there cause the dresser came in a box and it was too heavy for me to lift and she had her truck. So, While i was there, I thought that it would be nice to get Ryan a Bar-B-Q'r for an early Father's Day gift. Anyway.... to make a long story short, he called me on his way home and i told him that i got the dresser. So, when he got home, i had the camcorder in my hand ready! When i he came into the door, I said "Happy Father's Day"!! He had a big smile on his face and just chuckled! Well.... I guess i had suprised him and he was greatful that i got it.
Ryan was so beat from working when he got home, that wasn't about to put my dresser together, but after awhile, he decided to do it cause he thought that i would be upset if he didn't right away. What a sweetheart! It took him a couple of hours to do it, and by the time he was done, he had blisters on his fingers.

We watched American Idol lastnight together. Wow! it was really good. Then i went to work.

Now, to tell you what is going on today! At noon, we had a speech theropist come over and observe Hunter. She is from Kids on the move. They have been working with him for quite a while now. Every month that they come over, he is always improving more and more! They just keep saying that he is just a mild little boy! And.... he is stubborn as far as talking. So, he will talk when he wants to I guess. :)

So, ryan mentioned at first that we are just learning how to get our blog started. I've been wanting to do this for awhile. So please be patient with me!

I am a little late as far as wishing all of the mother's out there a Happy Mother's Day! I'm probably the biggest procrastinator of all. Oh, well...

We went to Ryan's parents' house for a Bar-B-Q and all of his family were there. It was nice to just to be able to relax. But we had a good time as we always do.

I just want my mom to know how much I love her! She is my hero! She is such a great example to me and to the rest of the family! She makes my day better when i hear her voice. I am greatful that she is my mother!

Also, Ryan mentioned that we are expecting another boy! We had a neat experience while sitting in the Celestial Room at the Provo Temple with the rest of Ryan's family in Feb, and I was just sitting there thinking, and ryan gave me a nudge and said out of the clear blue sky"Jacob Warren"! It kindof caught me off guard. He said "Jacob Warren is what we can name the baby if it's a boy! " Well... Deep down, I think that he knew that we were going to have a boy. He said that the spirit prompted him of that name. Ever since we have decided that name, the more that I said it in my head, the more I fell in love with it! I know that Grandpa Mott will be pleased to have one of his great grandkids named by him.
